  2. Drag iAlgae Core into the Applications folder.
  3. The first time: right-click the app → Open → Open.

Frequently asked questions

Is iAlgae Core free?

Yes. It's free to download and use on Mac and Windows, with no subscriptions and no account needed.

Which computers does it run on?

Macs with macOS 12 Monterey or later, including Macs with Apple chips, and 64-bit PCs with Windows 10 or Windows 11.

Can I bring my favorites and passwords from Chrome?

Yes. From the Favorites menu choose “Import bookmarks and settings” to bring over favorites and history from Chrome, Edge or Brave. Passwords are imported from the CSV file you export from Chrome.

Do Chrome extensions work?

Yes. iAlgae Core is based on Chromium: open the Chrome Web Store, click “Add to Chrome” and the extension installs in iAlgae Core.

Does the AI summary read what I do?

Only when you click “Summarize” or ask a question: at that moment the text of the open page is sent to the iAlgae AI service to prepare the answer.

How does it update?

On its own. When a new version is out it downloads it in the background, checks the file is intact and installs it when you restart the browser.

Is there a version for phones and tablets?

Not yet: iAlgae Core is for Mac and Windows. The version for phones and tablets is coming to the App Store and Google Play.
